My Pink Hat: ethical knitwear made in France by Cézembre, Laurent Bourges and 727 Sailbags

A story of heart, color, and courage.

Every October, France is adorned in pink to remind people of the importance of breast cancer screening and to support women facing the disease.

At Cézembre, this commitment resonates deeply with us. We believe that knitwear, beyond clothing, can also become a symbol of human warmth and solidarity.

It is in this spirit that the pink Cézembre x 727 Sailbags beanie was born, created for the Mon Bonnet Rose association and proudly worn by skipper Laurent Bourges during the Transat Café de l'Or .

A 100% French collaboration, born in Saint-Malo, woven with meaning, commitment and emotion.

🧶 A collaboration born from a shared commitment

The Mon Bonnet Rose project was born from a simple idea: to transform an everyday accessory into a message of hope.

The association of the same name has been working for several years to support women with breast cancer , offering them support, wellness activities and a caring space to talk.

This year, the cause has found a new ambassador at sea: Laurent Bourges , a committed skipper from Saint-Malo, who will take part in the Transat Café de l'Or under the colors of Mon Bonnet Rose .

Alongside it, two brands share the same conviction: French craftsmanship can be a driving force for solidarity .

  • Cézembre , a knitwear brand manufactured in Saint-Malo at the 3D-TEX factory, brings its expertise in seamless 3D knitting.

  • 727 Sailbags , an iconic brand specializing in recycled sails, provides the nautical and symbolic touch to the project.

The result?

A soft pink hat , knitted in France, the profits of which will be donated to the Mon Bonnet Rose association to finance support actions for the women concerned.

💬 "When the sea, knitting, and solidarity come together, the result is a project that is as beautiful as it is useful."

🇫🇷 100% French-made in Saint-Malo

Cézembre is first and foremost a manufacturing brand . All our products are designed and made in Saint-Malo , in our 3D-TEX workshop.

A unique expertise that combines textile innovation and local production , serving sustainable and responsible fashion.

The pink hat was knitted on site, in the same workshop as all of our collections.

Each piece is knitted in one go , without seams, to guarantee optimal comfort and exceptional durability.

Our teams have chosen a soft, warm but breathable knit, true to the Cézembre spirit: a beautiful, useful and well-made product.

All of this is in a soft pink color , a symbol of hope and positive energy.

⛵ A human and maritime adventure

The project is also taking off thanks to Laurent Bourges , who is embarking with Mon Bonnet Rose to cross the Atlantic.

A sporting and human adventure, where every mile covered is a message of hope carried beyond the French coast.

On the hull, on the sails and on the caps worn by the crew, the color pink becomes a universal emblem , that of courage, resilience and collective spirit.

💬 “This is a race like no other. It speaks of pushing oneself to the limit, but also of solidarity. And it is this human dimension that makes it so beautiful.”

This race perfectly symbolizes what Cézembre stands for: the link between humans, the sea and know-how .

Our roots in Saint-Malo, our love of knitwear and our desire to create meaning are fully expressed here.

🧵 From thread to solidarity

Participating in Mon Bonnet Rose is much more than just making a hat.

It's about using our profession to contribute to something bigger .

At Cézembre, we are convinced that French manufacturing has not only economic value: it has human value.

It connects skills, territories and people around meaningful projects.

Each pink hat that comes out of our workshop tells a story, one of gentleness, solidarity and a job well done.
